Expansion into Overton County
Since consolidating with Overton Habitat in 2017, Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity has been busy building a volunteer and donor base to better serve the community of Overton County. Several neighborhood clean-up days, “Rock the Block” have been held in Livingston to assist owners with trash removal and lawn care needs. Habitat volunteers have also been busy completing several senior repair projects under the “Neighbor 2 Neighbor” repair program. In Spring 2021, UCHFH will be joining a family and dozens of volunteers to build an affordable and energy efficient home on Thomas Road. This will be the sixth Habitat home built in Overton County.
Additional volunteers and donors are required to sustain the ministry’s work in Overton County.
